Ahmadou Fintiri, Adamawa State Governor, has reunited 14 abducted children who were trafficked to the state. The governor, represented by his deputy, Kaletapwa Farauta, said that the children had been treated and undergone several medical tests.
Also, affected parents were given ₦100,000, including food and non-food items, to cushion the reunion’s effect. Farauta described the monstrous crime as a strange reality to the state and the victims parents.
She warned parents against sending children below the age of 10 on errands and going to school alone. She reiterates that the government would no longer tolerate such careless acts from liable parents.
Furthermore, she urged parents and guardians to take parenting more seriously, describing children as sacred blessings from God. The governor‘s deputy called on the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious signs to the appropriate authority for immediate action.

Children Aged 4–9 Targeted in Heinous Trafficking Scheme
Farauta explained that in July ,2025, the state government got intelligence report of minor children, missing in the state. Following this, She noted the government’s swift response, with the cooperation of security operatives, the Police, the DSS and the NSCDC.
She continued that the operatives’ effort paid off with the arrest of the heinous human trafficking ring leader, Ngozi Abdulwahab. Farauta revealed the serial trafficker’s perfection in trafficking minors aged 4-9 years from various communities in the state.
According to her, Abdulwahab sold the victims for paltry sums ranging from ₦800,000 to ₦1.7 million per child in the southeastern region of Nigeria. In addition, she operates from a small provision shop which she owns at Jambutu ward, Yola-North LGA.
In Farauta’s statement, the serial trafficker had been operating successfully, using snacks and gifts to lure unsuspecting children in the state.
