6 gain freedoom as troops ransack bandits hideouts in Kaduna

Troops of ‘Operation Forest Sanity’ has ravaged bandits’ hideout at Kuriga and Manni community of Chukin Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The State Commissioner For Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwa, confirmed that the troops liberated six abductees.

Via a press engagement, the commissioner confirmed the names of the hostages as Sahura Hamisu, Ramlatu Umar, Saudatu Ibrahim, Maryam Shittu, Fatima Shuaibu, and Khadijah Mohammed alongside her infant.

Furthermore, the Commissioner added that the abductees are now with their families, citing confirmation from the military. He explained how security operatives had commenced clearance operations in some bandit’s hideouts across the State.

He confirmed that the rescue mission took place at the early hours of yesterday. The commissioner went on to heap praises on the security operatives who joined forces to ensure the operation’s success. In addition, the Kaduna State Government appreciated the tireless effort of top military officers in the country toward restoring peace and order in the State.

In conclusion, the commissioner confirmed that the state government would continue to work towards clearing more criminal hideouts. He added that the State Government would inform the general public about subsequent clearance operation developments.
