The Lagos State Police Command has invited Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock over a recent video circulating on social media. More so, the Police command confirmed the invitation through a post on its official page on X on Tuesday evening.

According to the command, the pastor will be investigated for pointing a gun-like object against another road user. Also, the statement established that Adefarasin will face questions for driving in an unlicensed vehicle.

The police command through the post emphasized that no one is above the law, promising that a thorough investigation would commence into the issues. Thereafter, the police command promised to make the outcome of the meeting known to the general public.

In a subsequent statement, the command revealed that during the invitation it recovered a stun gun from Pastor Adefarasin, which is a prohibited anti-riot gadget. Consequently, the command established that the gun-like item seen in the video wasn’t a lethal weapon or firearm.

Meanwhile, the command said it has granted Pastor Adefarasin bail but the investigation will continue.

Recall that last week, a video surfaced online showing Pastor Adefarasin holding a metallic object quite similar to a gun in an unregistered vehicle. In the video, the pastor was speaking to a passerby whom he ordered to stop recording him.

In response to the video, the pastor refuted the allegations that the object is a firearm. He stated that the object was misunderstood to be a firearm and he didn’t point it at anyone.
