The African Democratic Congress has condemned the Federal government’s silence, following the airport incident involving King Wasiu Ayinde. The party described the silence as a reckless and terroristic act, demanding justice for the incident.
King Wasiu Ayinde, on August 5, 2025, reportedly refused to comply with flight safety protocols at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport. He was said to have spilled the contents of a prohibited task to security officials, blocking the aircraft’s movement temporarily.
The incident prompted accusations of the Fuji star endangering passengers’ lives and safety, drawing public concern and widespread criticism. Following this, Bolaji Abdullahi, the spokesman for ADC, on Thursday, emphasized for proper prosecution of the Fuji legend.
Abdullahi, on his X page, raised concerns about political interference and selective justice in the Nigerian law system. Abdullahi also commended the aviation minister, Festus Keyamo, for his swift reaction concerning the issue.

He queried Nigerian authorities and the public, asking if Nigerian terrorism laws would be applied to the Kwam-1 case. He expressed that Kwam-1’s influence as a singer for Nigeria’s ruling party (APC) will be observed if it determines the outcome of the airport incident.
According to him, the six-month ban and a national no-fly list placed on Ayinde are not enough for his terrorist act. The ADC Spokesperson continued that an ordinary citizen would have been arrested and prosecuted on the spot.
He warned that foreign travellers might lose faith in the country’s aviation and national image. The party concluded with a rebuke of any attempt to shield the Fuji star based on his political alliance or status.
