Ondo State police have arrested the abductors of Omoniyi Eleyinmi, a faculty officer at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), nearly a week after being kidnapped.
Eleyinmi, who works in the Department of Education, was abducted last Monday while returning to his Supare-Akoko residence from work.
According to The Nation Newspaper, Eleyinmi has regained his freedom alive, following the payment of a substantial ransom to the abductors.
However, the state police spokesman, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, has not officially confirmed his release but promised to provide an update.
