Kwankwaso admires Obi as running mate

Serving Senator and erstwhile Governor of Kano State, Rabi’u Kwankwaso has revealed Peter Obi could have been his running mate. The Senator expressed a desire to pick the former Governor of Anambra state and Presidential aspirant as his Vice President.

Kwankwaso said he could have welcome Peter Obi if he had joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party. The Presidential Primaries of the party is will commence by next week with Kwankwaso in the sole position to clinch the ticket. He added that Obi could have fit in perfectly into the party’s plan to pick his running mate from the South.

Also, Kwankwaso while speaking on channels television wished Peter Obi and other presidential aspirants well. He added that the party is exploring every possibility of securing a good running mate. He emphasized that such individuals must possess a good reputation.

Recall that Peter Obi recently left the People’s Democratic Party to join the Labour party. Upon joining the party, Obi clinched the party’s ticket after Prof Pat Utomi and Mr. Joseph Faduri stepped aside.
