The Federal Government Housing Scheme in Alagbaka GRA, Akure Ondo State capital has suffered vandalization by miscreants. According to an eyewitness report, the thugs fired shots to chase workers. Injured some while destroying buildings, pipes, and water tanks.

Furthermore, they are allegations against the Monarch of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Adetoyinbo as the initiator of the attack. Site workers claim that the monarch has been employing thugs to intimidate and slow the working progress there. These claims are further confirmed by the Engineer in charge, Ademola Akin-Benson.

In addition, he revealed that the Monarch has overtly laid claims to the land. Thus, resorting to using thugs to forcefully take it. Akin-Benson bemoaned how his company has lost more than N50m due to the attack.

Also, he revealed how the King ignored a court ruling on the land to still claim the ownership of the land. However, Akin-Benson insisted that the Monarch won’t force him and his company to resort to other means of settling the dispute. He emphasized that his firm will allow the Court to use its might without any interference.
