Police arrest two Lagos Robbers, recover 66items ordered online

According to reports, two suspected armed robbers, Mustapha Mohammed and Abdullahi Buba have been apprehended.

 

The Lagos State Police command revealed that the two suspects were arrested during an operation on Apongbon Bridge, Ebute-Ero Lagos.

In a statement released by police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspect was arrested around 2:51 am.

According to Benjamin, commodities reclaimed from the suspects include a Bajaj motorcycle, One new LG plasma tv, 66 items ordered from Jumia, one HP laptop, one bag of flour, and one iron cutter.

The robbers Mustapha Mohammed 37 years and Abdullahi Buba 20years were apprehended on June 2, 2022, at 2:15 am while trying to escape with stolen commodities from Lagosians. The third suspect carrying arms flees the scene by firing on his way to escape.

The two suspects in detention are helping police in the ongoing investigation and arrest of other members of the gang. The suspects will be indicted at the end of the investigation.

Commissioner of Police for Lagos state through his spokesman has guaranteed Lagosians that the police are doing everything possible to ensure a crime-free state.
