A Nigerian-American Medical expert, John Nweke has bagged a 27years jail term for fraud-related issues. The news dawned on Nweke at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State for defrauding Konga.

According to the report, the surgeon acquired gadgets like smartphones and cameras close to N35m from the online shopping outlet. According to a police source, the case has been ongoing since 2016. Nweke alongside Kelechi Emenike and Stephen Anekelgwe were arraigned for acquiring assets under pretence.

Furthermore, during the course of the court case, Emenike got discharged while Anekelgwe died. Thus, leaving Nweke to bear the cross alone. The case sums up to other numerous fraud-related cases confirmed by the Lagos State Police Special Fraud Unit.

However, the court found Nweke guilty of the charges which resulted in his conviction. Accordingly, Nweke bagged 27years in prison without a fine but with a mandatory clause of refunding the money.
