President Muhammed on Wednesday reshuffled his cabinet seven months before the 2023 presidential election. Oath of Office was also administered to the seven ministers who were recently appointed and confirmed by the senate.
The appointed ministers took the oath before the Federal Executive Council Meeting at the council chamber commenced. The president encouraged the ministers to accept the appointment as a call to duty which requires diligent service to the nation.
The ministers sworn in are Henry Ikoh (Abia), Umana Okon Umana (Akwa-Ibom), Udi Odum (Rivers), and Ademola Adegoroye (Ondo), Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub (Kano), Goodluck Nana Opiah (Imo) and Ekumankama Nkama (Ebonyi). The newly appointed ministers replaced those who resigned from their appointment in April to contest for various elective positions in the coming elections.
