Airline operator cancels flight without refunds, passengers protest
Passengers of United airlines in Nigeria have lamented the termination of their flight without refunds.
According to reports, about 50 passengers were affected. This passengers became stranded as they were forced to take their luggage without refunds.
The managing director of Imperial 1629 limited, Oloyede Olanipekun was one of the passengers delayed by the airline.
The firm has reacted through a statement issued by its Head of Public relation unit. The statement reads “He noted that after waiting for about 6 hours unattended to, the stranded passengers had to protest and that was when United Nigeria Airlines Head of Operations addressed them.”
“The operations manager told the over 50 stranded passengers that he was not aware of their predicaments.”
“The passenger were all had to take the luggages without any repayment forcefully. As they were, told they could not refund.”
“It is also very sad that the Airline didn’t give any particular reason for the delay neither ready to refund, just as it is amusing that only after protest from the people that the Operations Manager came out to say operation delayed.”
“Mr. Oloyede Olanipekun is strongly asking the Airline to not only refund him but compensate him as he had a business meeting scheduled for Lagos by, Noon which he had unfortunately missed.”
