Members of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service on night duty in Inisa, Osun State, along the Osogbo/Kwara boundary road in the early hours of Thursday rescued a toddler wandering along the expressway

According to the reports , the toddler was coming from Okuku end towards Ikirun, when NHFSS men stopped him along the expressway and alerted residents of the area.

A resident of Inisa, identified simply as Ayodeji, said none of the residents of the area where the toddler was intercepted could identify him.
He said, “The hunters were on night duty along the expressway and intercepted the boy around 3am along Osogbo/Kwara boundary road in Inisa town. The hunters alerted us, residents of the area where the boy was intercepted and we all came out. The boy was naked and it was raining at the time.

“We asked for his name and he mentioned it, but he could not recall the name of his mother and father. We were told he was just running along the expressway towards Ikirun when the hunters stopped him.”

“The hunters wanted us to identify him, but none of us could do that because we don’t know his parents. We then advised them to take the boy to police station, which they did.”

Osun State Chairman of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service, Ahmed Nureni confirmed the development. He said the boy was eventually taken to a police station in Okuku, where he was reunited with his parents.

“Police in Okuku received the boy from our men who were on night duty along Osogbo/Kwara boundary road that intercepted him in Inisa around 3 am on Thursday. We were told the boy of about four years old and came from Okuku. He has been reunited with his family by the police,” Nureni concluded.
