The Amotekun Corps of Oyo State has arrested a 22-year-old man for molesting a 7-month-old baby last week. More so, the man, identified as Farouk in his confession, claimed that he was only trying to check if his manhood is functioning.
Reports indicated that Farouk carried the toddler beside her grandmother who was fast asleep. Thereafter, he took the baby to a room where he had carnal knowledge of her. Furthermore, Farouk then sneakily returned the baby back to where he picked her beside her grandmother.
How Amotekun Played a Crucial Role in Identifying the Culprit
Meanwhile, the baby’s father was away from home when Farouk carried out his mischievous deeds. Upon his arrival, he discovered sperm on the baby’s body which greatly shocked him. The discovery prompted the father to resort to reporting the issue in a police station.
On his way, the man encountered men of the Amotekun Corps who initially accused him of kidnapping the told. The man then narrated how he discovered the semen on the child, compelling the Corps to take permission from their supervisor and swing into action.
The men of the law enforcement agency then arrest all the men living in the building. At first, the suspects were disgruntled by the arrest labeling the father of the child as a wicked person for taking such a step. After intense interrogation, Farouq who was arrested alongside other suspects confessed his bad deeds.
In his submission, Farouq pleaded that he only tried to check his retracted manhood which he has not been able to use due to his condition. According to a top official of the security outfit, Kazeem Babalola while confirming the incident revealed that the case has been transferred to the Mapo division of the state police command for further investigation.
Meanwhile, according to the Amotekun Official, a report from the hospital indicated that there are marks of injuries at the entry of the baby’s vulva. The security outfit disclosed that according to the report, the baby’s hymen is still intact.
