The All Progressives Congress, Kebbi State chapter, has suspended Kabir Sani-Giant, Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement signed by the party’s state secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, in Birnin Kebbi, the State, yesterday.
Sani-Giant was accused of bringing a snake to Government House on February 8, 2025, thereby intimidating dignitaries, statesmen, and officials.
According to the party’s secretary, the conduct could embarrass and discredit the APC.
He also revealed that Sani-Giant’s actions violated APC’s constitution.
In addition, Muhammad-Kimba said the party deemed his behaviour offensive and embarrassing.
“His suspension remains in place pending further investigation and possible disciplinary action, which could lead to expulsion if repeated,” Muhammad-Kimba said.
The statement reads: “We are writing to inform you that, the State Working Committee (SWC) has decided to suspend you from the party, effective immediately pending further investigation and disciplinary action due to your conduct which is likely to embarrass, disrepute and ridicule the party which you have admitted before the investigation Committee.
“The specific conduct that led to your suspension was that, on the 8th Day of February 2025, you came to the Kebbi State Government House with a snake intimidating important dignitaries, Statesmen and Government Officials that were deemed offensive, embarrassing and a ridicule to the party, contrary to Article 21 (2) (ii) of the Constitution of All Progressives Congress (2022 as Amended).
“Please be aware that any further activity of this nature during the pendency of your suspension may lead to more severe disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the party”.
