81 Division of the Nigerian Army has started operations planning cadres for officers to enhance security within Lagos and Ogun states. The training which was held at the Army officers Mess brought together security operatives from the military and other relevant stakeholders.
The event was themed “enhancing operational readiness through effective planning, collaboration, and capacity development.” The General Officer Commanding 81 division, Major General Farouk Minjiyawa, expressed that the forum gives room for officers to improve themselves.
The GOC added that the program is also structured to foster better cooperation with other security organizations during combined operations. Minjiyawa emphasized that the inclusion of various security agencies in the training was to create a good learning experience for officers.
Similarly, Minjiyawa urged participants to contribute their perspectives to ensure that the goals of the program are met.
Minjiyawa disclosed that the forum is also an avenue to enhance operations planning values among participants for optimal performance. According to him, the training program was structured to provide officers with the crucial skills needed to lead effectively.
Also, The Commander of, the Nigerian Army, Corps Of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Maj-Gen Baba Yahya emphasized the need for enhanced operations. He disclosed that training, discipline, and commitment are needed for combating current security challenges and for successful operations.
Yahya disclosed that the Nigerian Armed Forces must step up its operations for the neutralization of criminals in the country. He noted that the dynamic nature of threats evolving in the country amplifies the need for training that is constantly adaptive.
