Controversial media personality and daughter of the late former Oyo State governor, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, Kemi Olunloyo, has publicly dissociated herself from her father’s legacy, declaring she will not be mourning his death.

Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo passed away on Sunday, April 6, but his daughter Kemi, known for her bold social media presence, says she won’t be accepting condolences. According to her, the late politician and Mathematician caused her deep emotional and physical trauma during her childhood.

However, taking to her Facebook page, she said: “I am NOT part of the Olunloyo family anymore, and told you that in 2024, that I will never return to Nigeria even if my parents died.”

She continued, “I am not accepting anybody’s condolences because I am not condoling with anybody. If you want to condole with my father on his death or his family, you need to go to his page and do that.”

Kemi, who also posted videos on TikTok narrating her experience, claimed her father led a double life, one as a respected public figure and another as a destructive force in his family.

“My father, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, is two different people. He was one person to the world; he was another person to the family. My father destroyed our family unit; my father tortured us as kids. He tortured us emotionally and physically,” she said.

She also alleged that her father was deeply involved in occult practices:
“My father was into juju heavily. My father was into occult practices and I called my father out on his 80th birthday. After I called him out, he went to Pastor Adeboye that he wanted to become born-again and he did.”

In addition, she acknowledged forgiving her father, she emphasized that the wounds remain fresh.
“I have forgiven my dad for everything he did,” she said, but quickly added, “You don’t know what’s going on in my family and I don’t know what’s going on in your family.”

In a particularly haunting recollection, Kemi recounted a childhood tragedy she blames squarely on her father’s irresponsibility.
“One day, we were supposed to travel to Lagos for a wedding. My mum said we shouldn’t go because it was too late, but my dad insisted. On our way, we were attacked by hoodlums. A rock hit my brother Tayo’s head, the driver died, and they set the car on fire. I watched my brother burn. I was 13, Tayo was 8. I was later molested and had to receive 17 stitches. All because my dad lied that he was at work when he was actually with a sidechick.”

She added, “I am traumatized by everything that happened to me in my childhood. Daddy caused this. I have not forgiven him.”

Kemi also blamed much of the family’s disintegration on her father’s marriage to Ronke Sonaike, who later became Aderonke Omololu Olunloyo. She alleged that the affair with Ronke, a former campaign staffer and schoolmate, led to tension in the family and the beginning of spiritual practices that further tore them apart.

“When Ronke came into our family, my father started all manners of occult things. It’s too long. It’s too painful,” she stated, even claiming that Ronke once attempted to poison her mother.

Meanwhile, she revealed that her stepmother allegedly restricted access to her father after his 2021 stroke.
“Towards the end of Daddy’s life, nobody had access to him. They couldn’t talk to Daddy on the phone because Ronke did not give anybody access,” she said.
