A popular liquor joint operator at Oro town, an agrarian community in Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State, slumped while serving customers and passed on.
The deceased, identified as Orobola Akinduro, was reportedly seen earlier in the day, hale and hearty, carrying out her daily business.
A few hours later, she was said to have slumped while serving customers and was subsequently rushed to a traditional herbalist in Otasan community, a suburb near Ile-Oluji town in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government area of the state, for urgent medical attention.
According to The Hope, she was later confirmed dead by the traditional doctor, after which her remains were evacuated by her family and deposited at the morgue of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital in Ondo town.
The community was thrown into deep mourning as news of the liquor joint operator’s death broke.
Although the cause of the victim’s death, who was also a notable indigene of the sleepy community, remains unclear at the time of filing this report, some details have emerged.
According to the family, the deceased will be buried as soon as funeral arrangements are concluded.
