Adamawa Police apprehends 13 Suspected Kidnappers

The Adamawa State Command of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has apprehended and obtained weapons from 13 suspected kidnappers. The suspects had with them an AK 47 rifle, a pistol, Dane guns, three motorcycles, ammunition, and N358,500 cash.

The 13-men criminal gang was nabbed during a raid on Sunday 19th, 2022. Also included in the things obtained from the invasion was a military uniform and leg chain used to imprison victims. 

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police made this disclosure at a Press Conference held in Yola on Monday. 

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sikiru Kayode attributes the operation’s success to the support from other security agencies. He adds that all security agencies must cooperate and work together to secure the arrest of all criminals. He also encouraged the residents of the State to maintain their support for the command. 

Police Commissioner reassures safety

Additionally, while appreciating the members of the public, the command iterates that they would prosecute the suspects once the investigation concludes. Likewise, the police promise not to rest in their search for the other suspects, until they catch and prosecute them. Also, the Commissioner claims that different standards are already in place to guarantee a peaceful and stable state.
