Amotekun operatives nab abductor in Ekiti

Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has arrested a 30 year old man, Abdurahaman Ibrahim who abducted people at Ijesa Isu, in the Ikole council area of the state.

The Amotekun State commandant, Brig Gen. Joe Komolafe(retd), said the suspect was arrested in the bush and could not explain why he was there.

Gen. Joe said the suspect would be handed over to the police for further investigation.

A 40-year-old victim, Idowu Ajayi, Identified the suspect as one of the six gunmen who kidnapped him alongside a lady in March 2022.

He said, “I can recognize the suspect as one of the six-member gang that kidnapped me along Ijesa Isu Road on March 14. They made me pay N2.5m before they released me and the lady kidnapped me that day.

“Apart from the money, the kidnappers collected a pack of gin, a pack of cigarettes, and noodles before they released us. They had four AK-47 guns, five cutlasses and they really tortured us.”
