The All Progressive Congress national party chairman, identified as Abdullahi Adamu, has promised all Nigerian citizens a credible candidate ahead of the 2023 election. According to him, APC will field incredible and eligible candidates for 2023.

This declaration was made known during the inauguration and screening of APC gubernatorial, senatorial, and House of Representatives aspirants in Abuja last Sunday.

The party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu was represented by Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Deputy National Chairman(North). Kyari admonished aspirant to abide by party regulations as they scurry for the APC tickets.

He stated further
“We have been very fortunate as a party that we have produced the best. Today we have 22 states and at the last count before myself (Kyari) and the national chairman and one of our colleagues resigned from the Senate we had 70 senators out of 109, which is just three shy of the two-thirds majority needed in the Senate. Also, we have almost two-thirds of the House of Representatives members”.

“And even after we had left we had one senator who decamped into the APC from Sokoto and we’re expecting another one from Oyo to officially cross the aisle to the APC. All of us here in the National Working Committee, on behalf of the national chairman, would like to welcome you here,” he said.

According to Abubakar, the All Progressive Congress is a strong party. He opined APC is ready and committed to delivering the right candidate for the forthcoming elections.

In addition, the National, Chairman believes all aspirants gathered at Fraser Suites in Central Business District area of Abuja can achieve the feat.

Recall APC National Organising committee Secretary had earlier revealed on Saturday that a total number of 1,693 politicians participated were screened in the exercise that took place for two days. It comprised of 145 governorship candidates, 351 senatorial candidate and 1,197 House of representatives.
Furthermore, the party revealed it has 28 presidential candidate of which screening comes up on May 23rd, 2022.

APC is presently in control of 22 States and two third of total lawmakers in the country.
