The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will meet representatives of the Federal Government today to finalize negotiations geared toward putting a lasting end to the lingering strike.

As revealed, the government will also meet the Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and allied institutions on Friday in a bid to harmonize their grounds on the industrial crises bedeviling the universities.

Recall that ASUU had in February announced the decision to embark on strike following the failure of the government to meet her demands. Few weeks after, SSANU, NASU also joined the industrial action.
