Breaking: House of Representatives donates N705M to support vulnerable Nigerians

The House of Representatives has contributed N705 million to the federal government to assist vulnerable Nigerians.

The donation, equivalent to six months’ salaries of its members from July to December 2024, was announced on Monday during an Iftar event at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The event brought together principal officers of the House as they gathered to break their fast with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, presented the contribution on behalf of the lawmakers, reaffirmimg their commitment to easing the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians.
