The Chinese Government under the leadership of President Xi Jinping has imposed a temporary ban on the letter N, as part of its censorship clampdown. This development reportedly came in the wake of speculation about the president’s plans to extend his stay in power indefinitely. In addition to the letter “N” words like immorality and ascend the throne were also restricted on the internet.

However, after receiving backlash from the citizens, the president reversed the decision and permitted the use on Monday.
