The family of late former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi has confirmed the death of Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the deceased APC chieftain. As revealed, she reportedly died in the United Kingdom in the early hours of Thursday.

Also, a former aide to the late governor, Bolaji Tunji confirmed the demise without much detail as to the cause. Tunji disclosed that the family will release an official statement relating to the death.

Meanwhile, former Oyo senator, Teslim Folarin also confirmed the passing away of the daughter of Ajimobi. In a Facebook post, the APC bigwig described the late Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi as a dear sister, while extending condolences to the family.

The death of Bisola is a huge blow to the Ajimobi family who lost the father, former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi to COVID-19 complications in 2020. Until her demise, Bisola worked with the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu as a special adviser.

Bisola made a name for herself with active participation in politics and has already worked closely with the former governor of Kebbi state before her appointment in December 2023. Similarly, Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi is a business executive with experience across sectors like finance, risk management, project management, oil and gas, and many others.

Before joining the political scene of Nigeria, she worked with several companies in Nigeria and the United States. Bisola holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University.

In 2022, the finance expert completed a Power and Influence for Positive Impact course at Harvard Business School (online). Bisola is survived by husband, children, and mother.
