According to a report, a man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father. The man, identified as Kido, was arrested in Issele-Uku in the Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

As reported, Kido, who is in his late twenties, carried out the act on their farmland in Issele-Uku area.

According to a source, Kido’s father confronted him for harvesting crops without his permission. The source said, “Kido stabbed his father to death, and the community vigilantes have arrested him and handed him over to the police.”

However, the source revealed that Kido denied stabbing his father during interrogation. The source said, “But in his confession, the suspect said he did not stab his father but only used firewood on him in self-defense while he (father) threatened him (son) with a cutlass.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said the suspect was in custody during the ongoing investigation.

He said, “The son was arrested immediately, and he is in detention. They quarreled on the farm, and unfortunately, he killed his father.”
