There was a mild drama on Tuesday at the entrance of the National Assembly complex in Abuja as security operatives prevented Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central but is currently on suspension, from accessing the premises.
The senator arrived at the gate in company of popular activist Aisha Yesufu, rights advocate Mama P, fellow activist Randy, and a crowd of supporters. However, security officers stationed at the gate denied them access.
In a quick reaction, Yesufu confronted the officers and challenged the instruction barring Natasha from entering the premises.

“National Assembly is meant to be for everyone. Why are you stopping us?
“We are not abiding doesn’t mean we are cowards,” she said.
Tension heightened as the standoff intensified and some supporters began chanting “Push!” in an attempt to force their way into the complex.
Natasha’s supporters were later seen moving toward the complex, singing solidarity songs in protest.
