EFCC arrests 14 suspected internet graudsters in Jos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Directorate, has arrested 14 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Jos, Plateau State.

The commission, in a statement issued on Monday, March 10, 2025, by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in K-Vom and Rayfield areas following credible intelligence.

“They were arrested in K-Vom and Rayfield areas in Jos, Plateau State on Saturday, March 8, 2025, following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related activities,” the statement read.

The anti-graft agency revealed that several items were recovered from the suspects during the operation.

“Items recovered from them include five laptops, 13 phones, and two power banks,” the EFCC said.

The commission further stated that investigations were ongoing and assured that the suspects would be prosecuted upon completion of inquiries.

“The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” the statement added.
