The Former Governor of Rivers and Presidential Aspirant of the APC, Senator Rochas Okoracha has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Anti-Corruption agency had earlier stormed Okorocha’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to pick him up after they claimed he defiled administrative bail offered to him.

However, he was later arrested and whisked away by these EFCC operatives who firs gunshots sporadically in a bid to forcefully take him away.

Recall that the former governor was indicted by EFCC for misappropriating about N2.9 billion naira while serving as the governor of the state.

EFCC had filed a 17-count charge against Okorocha before an Abuja Federal High Court, on January 24, 2022.
