Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode, has launched a scathing criticism against U.S. President Donald Trump following the latter’s inflammatory comments about Iran’s Supreme Leader.
In a statement posted on his official X handle, Fani-Kayode condemned Trump’s recent remarks, warning that any attempt to target Iran’s Supreme Leader or provoke a military confrontation with the Islamic Republic could lead to devastating consequences not only for the Middle East but for global stability.
Trump had on his social media earlier posted: “We know where exactly the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target but is safe there. We are not going to take him out (kill), at least, not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention on this matter.”
Reacting to Trump’s statement, Fani-Kayode, expressed disappointment over the United State president’s tone and posture, accusing him of promoting conflict and showing disrespect to world leaders.
“I am sorry Mr. President but respect begets respect. Must you always humiliate and taunt your perceived enemies in this way? Have you no self-restraint, decency or decorum? This is madness,” he said.
He further berated Trump for what he described as a pattern of inflammatory rhetoric, citing previous controversial statements about Gaza and South Africa.
“First it was your insensitive words about taking over Gaza and turning it into an American Riviera, then your wild and baseless tirade against South African blacks and the South African President, claiming that white people were being subjected to genocide in his country, and now this!”
Fani-Kayode didn’t mince words as he challenged Trump’s credibility as a leader, suggesting that the U.S. President had lost his sense of judgment.
“You have lost your mind. Kill the Supreme Leader of Iran if you dare, and after that, if it pleases you, send in your Marines to occupy his country. It will signal the beginning of the end of the American empire,” he said.
He added that a military confrontation with Iran would not only plunge the region into chaos but would also divide the United States and shatter Trump’s conservative support base.
“Your imminent attack on Iran, in the name of saving Israel, will set the Middle East on fire, prepare the stage for WW3, divide your country, split your MAGA movement, and ultimately lead to the destruction of America. You are a disaster!”
Fani-Kayode also accused Trump of betraying the promise of peace he made to Americans and the global community.
“You promised the world peace but instead you have brought nothing but empty promises, lies, threats, dashed hopes, shattered dreams, conflicts, division, strife, war and destruction.”
He further warned Trump against allowing himself to be manipulated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and influential neoconservative figures in the U.S.
“To think that a genocidal maniac, child-killer and psychopathic leader of a death cult like Bibi Netanyahu and the war-mongering neocons in your midst could manipulate and mislead you into dragging your great country into yet another military conflict… is such a shame,” he said.

Meanwhile, in what appeared to be a spiritual rebuke, Fani-Kayode questioned Trump’s faith and morals, saying: “You are not a true Believer but a fake, because true Believers do not support mass murder, genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, war crimes, regime change, injustice, the slaughter of women and children, the suppression of the oppressed, the oppression of the weak or any other manner of evil.”
However, he further urged Trump to embrace the counsel of more measured conservative voices in the U.S., citing names such as Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Scott Ritter, Candace Owens, and Steve Bannon.
“For once, let Israel fight her own battles!” Fani-Kayode concluded.
