The honorable representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa constituency at the House of Representatives, Shina Peller, has charged Nigerian Students to influence a change in the coming general elections. Shina Peller urged students to use their voting strength to elect leaders who will make life better for Nigerians.

This revelation manifested via a speech presented by the Media aide to Shina Peller, Kola Popoola during the 40th-anniversary ceremony of the National Association Of Nigerian Students in Abuja. During the event, the Apex Student association honored Shina Peller with an honorary Life Patron award. Also, Honorable Shina Peller bagged an award for Outstanding Leadership during the event.

In his speech, Honorable Shina Peller bemoaned the ongoing tussle between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The tussle has birthed the closure of public Universities across the nation for more than six months. The honorable labeled the issue as “worrisome,” he then urged the students to vote for good leadership in the coming general elections.

Furthermore, he added that the system had failed Nigerian Students, urging them to change the narrative. Peller said the educational sector is about to collapse, and students must man the mission of revitalizing it through their votes. According to him, the student populace is about 15 million, which halves the 30 million votes that ushered President Muhammadu Buhari into power in 2019.

He expressed full confidence in the sagacity of the students to put the government on their toes. Peller declared that the time is now for Nigeria Students to decide their fate. Lastly, Honourable Shina Peller urged the students always to be advocates of good governance and leadership.
