Some hoodlums have been apprehended for beating a NYSC member, Safwan Adamu Fade to death in Plateau state. The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina announced this on Tuesday, following the arrest of 26 suspects for various crimes.

The commissioner explained that police received a report earlier that a NYSC member serving at the Federal University of Education, Pankshin had been attacked by unknown hoodlums at the Township Stadium.

Adesina reported that after receiving this information, a team of police officers went to the location, and the victim was promptly taken to the hospital, where he received treatment and was declared stable. Unfortunately, he died from complications after he was transferred to Jos University Teaching Hospital.

He revealed that Samuel Dang Kat and Zatashinen Wubwerwe have been taken into custody in connection to the attack. The CP assured that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect, so Justice can be served.

Adesina reiterated his command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property by reducing the crime rate in society. He added that the campaign against lawbreakers has led to the massive arrest of a lot of criminals and the recovery of arms and ammunition.

The CP also commended the media for keeping the public well-informed about the good intentions of the Police towards them. Ultimately, Adesina expressed his appreciation to law-abiding citizens for their cooperation in the fight against crimes and criminals in society.
