The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has assured collaboration with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to promote national cohesion and security through patriotism and volunteerism.

This was disclosed in a press release signed by the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi following a courtesy visit by the agency’s Director-General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

Egbetokun stressed that the Force will complement NOA in implementing various strategies to enhance public awareness campaigns on civic duties.

He urged citizens to actively participate in initiatives that promote national values, standards, security and development. He applauded the efforts and dedication of the agency and pledged the support of NPF towards its goal.

Reacting, the NOA DG pointed out the mutual roles of the Police and the citizens in driving a stable and peaceful society, emphasising the importance of patriotism for unity and responsible citizens.

The agency noted that it seeks collaboration with the NPF to unveil the National Values Charter enshrined in the fundamental principles that should guide every citizen’s conduct.
