Ikorodu City recorded the biggest win in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season as they humiliated Katsina United with an emphatic 6-0 scoreline.

Emmanuel Solomon opened the floodgates in the 13th minute before Shola Adelani doubled the lead in the 36th minute. Tosin Oyedokun got on the scoresheet in the 55th minute to make it 3-0. Cole later add two more in the 71st and 87th minutes to bag a brace, while Oladimeji Dada put the icing on the cake with a fine finish in stoppage time.

Ayomide Cole was also outstanding for the Ikorodu team as he registered a brace to add to the team’s dominant performance on the day.

Nurudeen Aweroro’s side, who are featuring in the NPFL for the first time, have now scored the highest number of goals (48) this season.

However, the Oga Boys moved up to fourth on the log following the resounding victory and will look to continue their impressive form when they host Niger Tornadoes on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

Meanwhile, Katsina United, on the other hand, remain 15th on the table with 40 points from 32 games and will be away to league leaders Remo Stars in their next outing.
