The Imo state police command has rebutted statements alleging that radio presenter, Prof. Jachimike Adiele was kidnaped on Saturday in Owerri, Imo capital.

In a statement released by Imo police command spoke person, Micheal Abattam, the don became arrested by officers following a petition against him.

Recall a news had earlier gone viral that the presenter who was regulating a political program was kidnaped by gunmen.

According to the statement, the presenter was arrested on Saturday by the command for jumping bail. The evidence was that prof Jachimike was reported by a lady over the sum of N1.2m.

According to her, the professor pledged to give her a shop in Douglas market. But after some months, she discovered there was no shop and requested reimbursement but could not get it, thus the report.

Prof. Jachimike Adiele was brought in after the report. After giving his statement he was released on bail given his status in the society, with a promise to refund the money on April 1.

Jachimike refused but rather jumped bail. His surety was invited, he stated he does know the location of the suspect and implored for time to track him.

However, his surety realized he was anchoring a program around 9:40an on June 11 and alerted the Imo State policee command.

On arrival, the police waited outside till the end of the program and arrested him on the way out. He has been released and will be arraigned in court after the investigation has been finalized.
