The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board, JAMB, has revealed the establishment of candidate counseling emergency support center to assist candidates with pressing issues.
The examination body made this known through a statement posted on its official X page on Friday. JAMB said that the new center will work with the existing ticketing platform which is the preferred and most effective means of communicating with the board.
The statement reads in part , “In addition to our usual and preferred ticketing platform for Candidates Support, JAMB has now opened a Candidate Counseling Emergency Support Centre (CCESC).
“Members of the public, particularly candidates with genuine concerns can reach out to any of these officials: a. Gbenga b. Yusuf c. Dubem d. Tony e. Ogbonna and f. Emma on 07002200016.
“Please note that the ticketing platform is still the primary and most effective method for communicating with the Board as it is fast and easy to use and also guarantees a quick reply.”
Recall that, the exam board directed more than 300,000 candidates to retake the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, after identifying some technical glitches.
The rescheduled candidates were said to have experienced score alterations due to technical glitches at some Computer-Based Test, CBT, centres.
The rescheduled exam began today, 16th of May.
However, some of the affected candidates complained that the West African Examination Council, WAEC, is yet to announce any change in its timetable which may possibly lead to clashes between the two examinations.
