Former Abia state Governor, Orji Kalu has alleged that political elites are aiding Boko haram to destroy the president’s administration. The senator representing Abia North disclose on Monday that the resurgence of the terrorists is orchestrated by power-driven individuals.

Kalu claimed that the power-hungry individuals are using terrorism as a tool to destabilize Tinubu, just like past administrations. According to him, politicians, wealthy business people and top civil servants are the ones backing up the terrorist groups.

He adds that some individuals do it for the ability to control the system and not for financial gain. The former governor describe the insecurity facing the country as an intentional plan by powerful figures in the country.

Kalu concludes by urging Nigerians to embrace unity and patriotism, emphasizing the need to develop and uplift the nation. According to him, a better country can only be built through cooperation and unity among the citizens.

Reports say Kalu’s claims came a day after nine passengers were killed by Boko haram militants in Borno. The passengers were killed through an improvised explosive planted in Guzamala, a local government area of the state.

According to report, the incident which left many injured at the scene, occurred around 11 am on Saturday. The Speaker of the state, Abdulkarim Lawan, described it as inhumane and called on the Nigerian military to intervene.

Lawan who confirmed the incident, disclose that he lost nine of his constituents at the tragic incident on Saturday.

The lawmaker extended condolences to the families of the deceased and those who were injured in the attack.

He also called on security agencies to restore safety in the area which has been deserted and under militants control.
