The Kebbi State Special Advisers Forum, comprising 142 Special Advisers, has affirmed confidence and loyalty to the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.

In a statement signed by the special adviser to the Kebbi State governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki on Tuesday, the forum passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Nasir Idris during Sallah homage to the Governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Vice Chairman and Special Adviser on Health Matters, Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza, said the homage transcended mutual visit but to reaffirm absolute confidence on the good governance of our esteemed leader which has propelled Kebbi above its peers on infrastructural and human capacity development.

Dr. Bunza described the giant strides of socioeconomic growth under Gov. Idris as unprecedented in the history of the State.

He commended the Governor for entrusting Special Advisers with significant roles in governance, saying “This is the only administration in Kebbi State’s history that has appointed 142 Special Advisers.”

The Vice Chairman acknowledged the positive impact on the wellbeing of the people brought about by the Governor’s open-door policy, assuring him of the forum’s unwavering support.

Similarly, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Lawali Na Allah, and the Special Adviser on Revenue Generation, Alhaji Arzika Muhammad Dan Atto, thanked Governor Nasir Idris for affording them an opportunity to serve the people.

They solicited for further engagement with the administration and appealed for the prompt payment of their approved Furniture Allowance.

Alhaji Lawali Na Allah assured the Governor of their unalloyed loyalty, stating, “We will support you at every step in your quest to develop Kebbi State.”

In response, Governor Nasir Idris approved all the requests made by the Special Advisers.

He directed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and the Accountant General of the state to ensure that all unpaid furniture Allowances have been settled by Wednesday, 2/4/2025.

Comrade Nasir Idris also instructed the SSG to arrange regular meetings with the Special Advisers to enhance collaboration and communication.

The Kauran Gwandu commended the Special Advisers for their invaluable contributions to the success of his administration.

He expressed delight about the calibre of the Special Advisers, Commissioners and other top Functionaries of government.

Dr. Idris gave an assurance that the APC-led administration would carry every body along who made any form of contribution to its victory.

According to the Governor, he would sustain the line of communication and routine meetings with the Special Advisers.

This, he said, was to continually brainstorm on the successes, strengths or otherwise, towards proffering solutions to further move Kebbi State forward.

The Governor also also tasked the appointees to continue to be closer to the people and also endeavour to assist them in whatever way possible.

Dr. Idris also said,”We will continue to accord top priority to your welfare as well as that of the generality of the people of the state.

“We have succeeded in redeeming over 80 per cent of all campaign promises and we are on course to fulfill the remaining ones.

“We will sustain the trajectory of tangible developments that we have started in the last two years and we will never waiver.

“We will continue to pay salary, pension and gratuities as at when due and we are not indebted in this regard.

“That was what I told the President during a recent NEC meeting and I was proud to chronicle that enviable feat.

“We have also successfully implemented the N75,000 new national minimum wage unlike that was done in other states.”

The Governor also vowed that no internal or external campaign of calumny would distract his administration from delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

“We are not in government for personal fulfilment but to offer transparent and diligent services to the people of the state irrespective of political affiliation, ethnic or religious difference,” Dr. Idris affirmed.
