Lagos hospital discharges Osinbajo after surgery

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was discharged yesterday after successful surgery on his right femur(thigh bone). The surgery was carried out at the Duchess International Hospital, Lagos.

According to a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the VP was discharged after going through physiotherapy and smooth rehabilitation. The statement further stated he will continue to recover in the next few days.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Personal Physician to the Vice President, Dr. Nicholas Audifferen, the statement read: ”

“The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, was admitted to the Duchess International Hospital, Lagos, last Saturday, July 16, 2022, on account of a right femur fracture. He had corrective surgery without any complications.”

“He was admitted for a total of seven days, during which he had physiotherapy and smooth rehabilitation following the surgical operation. He has been discharged and is now recuperating.”

Osinbajo appreciated all the clinical and ancillary staff of the hospital, for their professionalism and quality of care. He further appreciated the good wishes of the President and Nigerians from all walks of life.
