A 26-year old man identified as Mohammed Ibrahim has been sentenced to three months imprisonment for swindling a Point of Sale operator of N28,000. Ibrahim was sentenced by an area court in Jos on Monday.
The presiding judge, Mr Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the crime and begged the court for leniency. The judge also gave the convict an option of a N10,000 fine.
He was also ordered to pay the complaint a compensation sum of N35,000.
