Abdulazeez Fashola, commonly known as Naira Marley has asked the court to investigate the wife of the late singer, Mobahd, and 14 others. Naira Marley stated this on Friday through a virtual testimony he gave on Friday before a coroner court in Lagos state.

Fashola narrated how he was far away from the country at the time of the late singer’s death, Ilerioluwa Aloba. He added that the court should focus on the people who were in the deceased house 48-72 hours before he died.

According to his lawyer, Olusola Okuwobi stated that Naira Marley also accused those circulating old videos during his final moments. He noted that those circulating old videos during the deceased final moments are trying to evade responsibilities and deceive Nigerians.

Fashola added that  Mobhad had previously apologized for the old video and had been forgiven before leaving the record label. The report says that Fashola’s statement came nearly a week after the nurse who treated the late singer testified in court.

However, a Nigerian group Concerned Nigeria Citizens in Diaspora, has called on the police to reinvestigate the case. According to their Spokesperson, Victoria Peters, police should also investigate individuals present at Mobahd’s house including his brother, Adura Aloba.

The deceased who died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, initially signed with Marlians Record, a music label belonging to Naira Marley. During a long fracas with his former boss, Mohbad on various occasions revealed how gangs connected to Naira Marley assaulted him.

Samson Eletu, widely known as Sam Larry appeared in various videos where thugs related to the Marlian record boss assaulted the late singer. Hence, Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and the former manager of Mohnad, Prime Boy were acquitted in a court ruling early this year.
