Nine burnt to death in Ondo road accident

Nine persons were burnt to death in a road accident that ensued at Omotosho, along Ore-Lagos expressway, Ondo state. The incident was confirmed by Ore Unit FRSC Commander, Mr. Sikiru Alonge, on Friday.

According to Mr.Sikiru, the accident affected a white Toyota Hiace Bus with reg number FKJ 095 XE and a Honda Accord Saloon Car. Mr. Sikiru noted the accident was a result of a tyre burst which led to a head-on collision that ensued in a fire blast that burnt all nine occupants of the vehicle.

Sikiru stated the remains of the victims have been deposited at the Ore General Hospital morgue. He admonished motorists to maintain speed limits, obey traffic rules and concentrate while driving.
