The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has supported 531 corp members with funds and relief materials. The company also provided the corpers with starter packs to empower them to start their businesses.
The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mr Bayo Ojulari presented these items to the corp members in Abuja on Thursday. Ojulari, who was represented by the Group Chief Operating Officer of NNPC Ltd, Mr Roland Ewubare, noted that the initiative is aimed at making the recipients self-reliant.
He emphasized that the move underscores NNPCL’s long-term vision for Nigeria and aligns with its commitment to integrity and excellence. In addition, the initiative shows that NNPCL is committed to national progress and youth development.
Furthermore, Ojulari commended the recipients for doing well in the selection processes. He noted that corp members given these items were selected from a highly competitive pool.

Ojulari went on to urge the corp members to use the resources wisely, build purposeful businesses, and uphold high standards.
According to reports, the programme is a collaboration among NNPCL. Foundation, Corporate Affairs Commission, and Kudimata Nigeria. Ltd. The programme was launched with the aim of improving lives through financial empowerment.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of NNPCL Foundation, Mrs Emmanuella Arukwe, said the project began with a focus on financial literacy and over 800,000 corps members have participated since 2023. She noted that the training included branding, funding, project viability, and more.
Arukwe also stated that while the 531 recipients scored at 70% to qualify after a rigid selection process, the participants did not entirely lose. She explained that other participants who weren’t selected have gained skills to access loans and grants.
The Managing Director described this programme as a long-term investment in economic resilience.
