The stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central region have declared their support for the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, in Abuja.
This is following the forum’s decision to suspend its agitation for the removal party’s national chairman with someone from the north central region. Furthermore, the North Central APC forum leader, Saleh Zazzaga, disclosed in a statement that the leadership under Ganduje has been in the interest of the North Central zone.
Zazzaga remarked that the Ganduje administration has consistently won elections, while also welcoming defectors from other political parties. He stated that the ministerial appointments given to the region are due to the support of his leadership.
Also, the forum leader added that the agitations of the North Central stakeholders has birthed the development of various infrastructural projects in the region. Not only that, federal roads such as Suleja-Minna-Bida road, Akwanga-Keffi-Plateau-Gombe and highway are currently receiving attention.
The forum went on to declare Ganduje as the right leader to lead the party in the 2027 general election, judging by his track records. Similarly, the stakeholders appreciated the north-central governors for engaging and strengthening the zone, urging Ganduje to also carry elders of the region along.
Further, the group expressed their gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, promising to provide him four million votes in the 2027 election. Recall that on Tuesday, the national chairman declared his support for President Tinubu while receiving some delegates from the President Media Centre and Northern Youth Forum in Abuja.
The party chairman noted that it would be unfair to deny him a rerun when the previous president was allowed to rule for eight years. Therefore, he’s interested in ensuring that President Tinubu completes two terms in office.
