The Dei-Dei area of Abuja was thrown into a state of turmoil yesterday after an Okada rider knocked down and consequently killed an unidentified Igbo lady.

According to reports from the scene, this triggered the Igbos selling building materials within the area to attempt jungle justice on the rider.

The colleagues of the rider reportedly stormed the scene, engaging the building materials sellers in a brutal conflict.

The Franca paralyzed operations within the community, leading to the torching of properties, including vehicles, and shops, with two persons feared dead.

Although Security operatives arrived very early to calm the situation and restore normalcy in the area.

Now, the FCT minister, Muhammad Bello has directed the indefinite closure of the Dei-Dei market.

He gave this directive after inspecting the level of damage inflicted on properties in the market as a result of the crises.

Muhammad asked the market leaders to immediately produce the miscreants responsible for the devastation
