The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has on Monday in Asaba gave his reply to criticism of The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege over his establishment of three new universities in the state.
In his reply, he said Four universities are currently functioning in the state and that those criticizing him and telling lies to the people of Delta are doing it for selfish interest.
He stressed further that the newly established universities have done first and second intakes of not less than 5000 Students since their establishment.
Okowa berated that The Newly established varsities were on session even during the eight months ASUU strike.
in his statement, “While Federal Government keeps students at home for eight months strike, Delta State Universities keeps graduating students while others are moving to next class.”
He disclosed that he had met with Vice-Chancellors of institutions in the state to introduce entrepreneurial education into the schools’ curriculum.
