OPEC Secretary -General, Sanusi Barkindo is dead

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC, Muhammed Sanusi Barkindo is dead. The death of Muhammed Barkindo was confirmed by Group Managing director of Nigeria National Petroleum Commission, Mele Kyari via a tweet posted on his verified twitter page@MKKyari on Wednesday morning.

According to the tweet, Barkindo died on July 5th, around 11 pm. The president, Major General Buhari while reacting to the loss at the State House, Abuja, defined Barkindo as an admirable ambassador of the country.

Barkindo was the former Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Commission before he was appointed the Secretary-General of OPEC.
