Oyo State Government has complied with the Federal Government’s directive on extensive staff assessment within the centrally deployed cadres. (CDC)

Commissioner for establishment and training, Salihu Adelabu, made this known in a statement on Saturday at the state capital, Ibadan. According to him, the staff assessment is scheduled to take place from Monday, July 14, to Friday, July 25, 2025.

The exercise is designed to improve workforce management and enhance operational efficiency across ministries, departments and agencies. Adelabu expressed that the federal government’s readiness, through the federation audit, aligns with the initiative of the ministry.

The commissioner continued that the audit will ensure accurate documentation and improve records management of deployed cadres.  In addition, this will aid the establishment of a credible database for centrally deployed cadres across ministries, departments, and agencies.

He therefore called on all ministries and agencies to cooperate with the assessment team for a smooth and successful exercise.

FG Directs MDAs for submission of officers updates to IPPIS

Nigerian ministries, departments, and agencies have been directed to submit nominal rolls and officer updates on the IPPIS platform. The directive, made by the federal government, aims to identify existing and significant vacancies in the civil service.

The announcement was contained in a memo and addressed to all ministers, permanent secretaries, among others. According to the government, the exercise will enable structured employee mobility and effective staff coordination.

Agencies are directed to submit a soft copy of the nominal roll to designated OHCSF officers for proper collection and documentation. Additionally, MDA officers are instructed to update the date of present appointments of all officers in the appropriate field.

This measure is intended to ensure the accuracy of HR employee information on the popular payment platform. It also urges permanent secretaries and accounting officers to ensure the timely submission of the required data for the operation’s success.
