Pastor Paul Enenche, founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has stirred conversations across the country after respectfully declining a ₦30 million donation from the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris.

The development occurred during a large evangelical crusade organized in Kebbi State, where a representative of the governor publicly announced the cash donation as a token of appreciation for Pastor Enenche’s visit and his spiritual impact on the people of the state.

According to a viral video capturing the moment, the governor’s delegate had taken the stage to announce the gift, stating that it was Governor Idris’s way of acknowledging the minister’s spiritual contributions and presence in the state during the crusade.

However, Pastor Enenche, who stood beside his wife, Becky Enenche, graciously turned down the offer. In his response, he expressed gratitude for the governor’s kind gesture but urged that the money be channeled towards charitable causes instead.

While addressing the crowd, the cleric said the funds would be better utilized if redirected to support orphanages or initiatives aimed at social welfare.

“I thank His Excellency for his goodwill. However, I suggest that this money be used to help the less privileged, the orphans, the needy. That would be a more meaningful way to show love,” Pastor Enenche said.

The governor’s representative also responded positively, commending the pastor for his humility and unwavering commitment to the gospel.

Meanwhile, the video quickly gained traction on social media platforms, with many Nigerians applauding the pastor’s principled stance and selflessness.

The cleric decision has been regarded as an act of integrity and a call for leaders to prioritize social welfare in their outreach efforts.
