The Nigerian Police Force, Ilawe Ekiti command, in Ekiti South West Local Government area of Ekiti State has arrested three female petrol station attendants for allegedly defrauding the station owner to the tune of N7.92 million.

This was made known by the State Commissioner of Police, Dare Ogundare who listed the suspects as Olaiya Oluwaseyi, Omotosho Seun, and Ajayi Funke.

Ogundare, who spoke in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday while parading the suspects and others arrested recently, disclosed that “During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the alleged crime and mentioned that the money was shared among them and used to solve personal issues”.

The CP, however, listed items recovered from the suspects to include two generators, two 32-inch plasma TVs, two washing machines, two standing fans, one big industrial sewing machine, and one electric iron.

Ogundare listed other items recovered from the attendance, which included one oven toaster machine, one DVD player, an empty carton of Smart 6 Infinix phone, one StarTime decoder, a set of upholstery chairs, a substance suspected to be a charm and a sum of N250,000.

However, the commissioner while thanking members of the public for their cooperation by giving useful information to the police, assured that the suspects will be arraigned accordingly.
