Police arrests two for beheading 10-Year-Old almajiri in Adamawa

As proof of commitment to combating crimes and violent activities, operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Jada, Adamawa State, have arrested two suspects for the murder of a 10-year-old boy in the Jada Local Government Area of the state.

The Adamawa State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Suleiman Nguroje, revealed this in a statement on Sunday.

He recorded the successful operation resulting in the arrest of a 27-year-old Ibrahim Abdul Malik and an 18-year-old Aliyu Abdul Malik, who are both residents of Anguwan Darlin Yamma, Jada, and were connected to the crime.

Nguroje stated, “The duo were alleged to have killed and beheaded a 10-year-old Almajiri, identified as Abdalla Lawali, of Anguwar Dubai, Jada.

“The victim was reported missing on March 7, 2025. Since then, a search has been ongoing to trace the missing child.”

He further revealed the swift action taken by the commissioner of police, CP Dankombo Morris, upon receiving the news of the suspect’s involvement.

“Upon receiving information on the suspects’ involvement. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, deployed security to the scene, where the decomposed body of the deceased was recovered in a sack bag.

“The search warrant was further executed at the suspects’ residence where the head was buried in a shallow grave within the house premises.”

Moreover, the statement revealed that the suspects admitted to committing the crime after being investigated, while they blamed the devil for their action. .

The CP condemned such inhuman behavior and directed the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for private investigation and prosecution.

He assured the public of good judgment regarding the case and cautioned parents and guardians to be vigilant and ensure they report to the police any suspicious movement around their neighborhood.
